Frequently asked questions
Does one year mean exactly 365 service days in this tool?
The basic input check uses 365 service days. Legal continuous-service treatment can involve excluded or included periods that simple date math cannot decide.
Why does the tool ask for daily ordinary wage?
MOEL guidance states that the ordinary-wage amount is used when it is higher than calculated average wage. Enter 0 when you do not have a confirmed amount.
Does meeting both displayed thresholds guarantee severance?
No. They are only a basic screen. Employment status, continuous service, excluded periods, retirement plan, wage components, and other rules still matter.
